Prisoners are Now Allowed to Vote!

In 2010 the government removed voting rights to all prisoners. But they have made it legal for prisoners to vote that are sentenced to less than three years in jail. They will start with 1,900 prisoners to be prepared

Mr government aims to help be productive New Zealand citizen upon their release. Leader Simon Bridges said at the next election they will change the law back.

I think prisoners should be allowed to vote .
