On the first day of the cyber smart we learnt how to hold our Chromebook and gently put it away.We have been doing cyber smart every Tuesdays now miss grant has been teaching  us  a lot thank you for reading this.

The Amazing Run, Jump, Throw

On Wednesday Coach Declan taught us how to throw a discus. We put our fingers around the discus then we clapped our hands. After we clapped our hands we threw it.

On the the last amazing day we did shot put and he put lots of bean bags on the court. We tried to throw them at the other team.

The manaiakalani festival

In the afternoon Glen Innes School and Tamaki Collage went to the  manaiakalani film festival. Ruapotaka School went on three buses to the Silva park.When we arrived to Sylvia park I saw a lot of awesome movies. We sat on the ground to wait for other schools to come down. My favourite movie was "The Focuser" I liked it because they scored a lot of goals.

Our trip to the botanic garden

 

After morning tea we went on three buses to the botanic gardens. We went to see the beautiful flowers. One garden we saw was the rose garden. We drew pictures of roses. My favourite flower was the red rose. I liked it because it was pretty and had a prickly stalk. 

The Amazing Race

  On cross country day Fakaola came first. We all tried our best and tried to paced ourselves during the race. Mary-Ruth and I came third equal but they only awarded Mary third place. I learned that cross country is all about enjoying yourself and trying your best to run the whole way.

Our wonderful plants

This is our our wonderful garden that we planted. We had a lot of colourful flowers prepared for us to plant. One of the flowers we planted is called the cyclamen flower. We dug a whole in the soil, put the plant in and then watered it. I learned that the cyclamen does not like sun.

My Amazing Zoo Trip

At the zoo my group and I saw a giraffe, zebra and ostrich. We all wanted to feed the giraffe but we weren't able to. The Ostrich baby was cute.

We learned that a spider monkey does not like water but they are good at balancing on the ropes.

My name is Liza. I am 9 years old and and I am Congolese from Africa.

I go to Ruapotaka Primary School. I am in year 5 and am in room 9.

My favourite sports are basketball and netball. I am good at shooting the ball into the hoop for basketball and netball. I am also good at passing the ball. My favourite subjects are art because I like to paint and maths because I like learning strategies for different math problems. My learning goal is to read challenging books and finish my work on time.
